Post #119 led us to the unconscious. I am aware that for some of my readers, the unconscious is as controversial as alkaline water! Controversy fosters questions; exploring the mystery fosters questions.
Rainer Maria Rilke, (1875-1926), in Letters to a Young Poet, gives me ideas for pondering questions:
“Love the questions themselves as if they were locked
rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
The point is, to live everything. Live the questions now.
Perhaps….someday….you will gradually,
without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
How do you feel about questions? Do they excite you or annoy you?

How interesting. Just last night, as I was reading a new mystery, I turned down the corner of a page because it made me think of you and your posting about uncertainty. Then this morning there was the post about questions.
The young woman detective–in 1929–remembers what her mentor told her: "Truth walks toward us on the paths of our questions……..As soon as you think you have the answer, you have closed the path and may miss vital new information. Wait awhile in the stillness, and do not rush to conclusions, no matter how uncomfortable the unknowing."
What a wonderful quote Karen! It is not easy for me to wait in the stillness, especially when I'm uncomfortable. What a worthy goal though.
